Dr Julie Babcock

Holistic Dentist, Owner

Dr. Babcock grew up in Tulsa, initially attended the University of Kansas, and received her D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. She has been in practice since 1996, after 9 years of mentoring associateships in Johnson County, she opened her current practice in 2004.

The first 9 years taught her about different levels of care. During several associateships, volume and speed were the main emphasis, rather than patient focused care. It was exhausting and Dr. Babcock felt that patients were not receiving the complete, quality care they deserved. Most of these patients never learned what dental disease is, why they had it, and why their problems kept recurring. They found themselves constantly needing care and spending money.

Dr. Babcock discovered that a true relationship with her patients is invaluable. Trust isn’t built in a 30-second exam. It is built by spending time listening to and understanding each person’s individual needs, fears, and expectations. Her patients benefit from the exceptional experience her small practice offers. She believes Small is Beautiful and treats one patient at a time, viewing each patient as a unique individual, with unique needs, while prioritizing biocompatible materials, minimally invasive procedures, and preventive measures. Her definition of success is leaving at the end of the day knowing that she changed lives.

Dr. Babcock invests extensive amounts of time and finances in professional development, seeing her diploma only as a license to begin the learning journey.

The following includes some of her most valued additions to her dental practice.

• Member of IAOMT (International Academy of Oral and Medical Toxicology). IAOMT is made up of dentists, physicians, and research professionals dedicated to providing scientific resources to support new levels of integrity and safety in health care. Being affiliated with this group requires a strong commitment to the health of the whole body, not just the teeth. It involves looking at natural remedies and the cause of disease, not just treatment of symptoms, treating patients with safe materials that are non-toxic, and commitment to the safest mercury removal protocol possible. Dr. Babcock enjoyed first learning from IAOMT, and now is involved with helping to train new dentists in this same methodology.

• Long-term member of the Great Plains Study Club, a local branch of the Seattle Study Club. This elite group emphasizes continuing education and the highest standards for the doctors involved.

• Alumni of The Schuster Center for Professional Development and ACT Dental. Aiding in continuous improvement, leadership, and excellence in patient care.

• Graduate of Pankey Institute in Florida and The Stewart Center for Occlusal Studies and Minimally Invasive Dentistry in Texas. This advanced training for high level dentists allows her to treat TMJ disorders comprehensively, offering solutions for a range of complexities.

Happily married with 5 grown children, you will find Dr. Babcock spending her free time traveling the world (especially India) and relaxing at her home on Grand Lake in Oklahoma. This lakeside retreat allows her to recharge, fostering a well-rounded lifestyle that complements her dedication to patient care.
